Replacing Car Battery Terminals
Well its that time of year, Finally time to get the FD back on the Road. I have found its also time to replace the Car Battery Terminals. The Bracket to the Post for the Negative terminal has gone severly rusted and has pretty much broke from the rust so now nothing can hug the post to get the negative charge to battery. I am wondering if one of you experts can give me some suggestions on how I can replace both the Postive and Negative Battery Connectors. I figured i might aswell replace the Postive if i am doing the negative. The Positive is a little tricky since there is a Fuse Box attached to it. Do you cut the Connectors off? and then just slide the bundle of cables into a new connector and screw it on? i seen a few connectors that tighten to the cable via screws. Suggestions please! thanks

Warming the planet.
Most autoparts stores have lead alloy terminal clamps with 3/8 studs on them. There typically used for boats or equipment. cheap clean and effective.

Just poppin in to Say that One Battery Connector is Smaller inside than the other.IF you look at your Battery, you will notice One post is Bigger(to distinguish Polarity).I wanted to State that.Just in case you go and Buy Connectors, and happen to Buy Two of the Same. You will have no problem on the Bigger of the Two,But when you go to Tighten up the other one,It will not Get Snug.Due to the fact that the post is smaller and the Connector will be at it's bolt Tightened Limit...So Make sure you get One for Negative, and One for Positive.(specifically).
