Removed Dash now key doesnt wana turn the over

Well I removed the dash so I could remove the carpet/add heat shields plug everything back in put the key into the starter and it only goes in about 3/4 of the way it doesnt wana go any deeper and it wont turn over. I thought I may have bent the key so I get my spare and it does the same thing. Any Idea's?

first check that your steering wheel isn't locked or that you screwed up reinstalling the locking mechanism on the steering wheel.

after that do more than check the ignition switch. pull the ignition switch apart and make sure the part you are inserting the key into is fitting properly with the actual ignition switch behind it.

This thread is a year old and the OP is banned, so I doubt anyone cares if it gets jacked.

The short list:
SA/FB = 1st gen
FC = 2nd gen
FD = 3rd gen

Then there's the whole series aspect...

so almost on that same note. in my fc, on the opposite side of where you put the key in the ingnition, theres that white plastic cylinder that actually starts the car. long story short some dumb *** broke the plastic inside that, that turns the car on. how do i take the white plastic off of there?
