Well I removed the dash so I could remove the carpet/add heat shields plug everything back in put the key into the starter and it only goes in about 3/4 of the way it doesnt wana go any deeper and it wont turn over. I thought I may have bent the key so I get my spare and it does the same thing. Any Idea's?
first check that your steering wheel isn't locked or that you screwed up reinstalling the locking mechanism on the steering wheel.
after that do more than check the ignition switch. pull the ignition switch apart and make sure the part you are inserting the key into is fitting properly with the actual ignition switch behind it.
my car is almost the same thing, except i didnt take anything apart, i was driving it last night and now when i went to go to work this morning i put the key in the ignition and it wont turn, i tried for liek 10 mins and i couldnt get it do i drove the bonneville and i tried again for like another 10 mins jsut a sec ago and i still cant get it to turn, and no the streering wheel isnt locked either..... i cant figure this thing out?!?!
jiggle it, just a little bit.. . Are you having problems with tumblers?

ha no you wouldnt man. it will drain your battery.
you look dumb rolling up to a place, popping your hood and disconnecting your battery cord everytime you stop, then telling everybody you had to turn down the boost because you were running too muc psi. ha

so almost on that same note. in my fc, on the opposite side of where you put the key in the ingnition, theres that white plastic cylinder that actually starts the car. long story short some dumb *** broke the plastic inside that, that turns the car on. how do i take the white plastic off of there?
