Rear Coolong Tube for quick disconnect
Is that tube screwed in or how is it fastened to the rear housing? Also is the quick disconnect really needed or can the hose just go over it?
Thanks

looks like the tube is pressed in.
I threw that quick connect in the trash when i took it off and the o-rings went flying everwhere. just put the hose over the tube with a hose clamp

For those who didnt quite get my poor job on explaining what i wanted to know the 1st time.
On the rear plate of my FD core there is a tube coming out of the driver side of the block. This is in the same location as the oil pressue unit and water temp i think. Radiator Fluid comes into this tube after running through the heater core. Before this tube was pretty solid, now it wiggles after hit it on accident. If i twist the tube it does become some what stable again but i'm just not sure of how well it will seal. What it all comes down too is, can this be replaced or what other methods are there for fixing this?
Thanks

I just cut mine (quick release) off and put a normal hose clamp on. Mine failed about 1 mile from home, and you guess it the coolant lite came on. Not sure why there is even a quick release there but its just another piece of plastic to break when you least expect it.

Mine broke about a year ago...almost overheated the motor! The 9 year old plastic peice was so old and brittle...That at high RPM the motor jerk snapped it I guess. Anyway, I ended up replacing it with the OEM part. I sort of like the fact that I can diconnect it in a second when I want to drain the coolant in the engine block during a flush. The old one was a different story, it took a good half houtr to somehow take it off!
