really need to know where to get map sensor ASAP
i'm gettin ready to purchase my t78 kit and desperately need to get a 3 bar map sensor. i read about the 3 bar denso unit that apex includes in the boost kits. i'd like to have that one but can't find one anywhere as a seperate piece. i wouldn't mind the gm 3 bar either, but i need a part number for it and need to know exactly what i need to do to make it work. i appreciate it guys!

where would i find the connector tho? i'm thinking of calling apex america, telling them that i bought a used boost controller kit for the pfc, but the sensor was broke. wonder if they could lead me to a new one

i've found the sensor several places, but none of them come with a connector. and no way in hell am i hardwiring anything to a map sensor. it's not only a pain in the ***, but it's not safe. i have jason at the rx7store seeing if he can get the apex/denso unit first, then i'll go for the gm if i have to

How is it not safe?
A hard-wired soldered connection with protected covering is SAFER than a block connector. But I'm just saying to use the stock connector block without the stock sensor on it.
Geez man, what is up with people and their fear of self-fabricating things that are so simple?
You take the stock MAP sensor, you cut the wires off of the end of it, leaving it's factory sensor-side harness. You solder the GM sensor to this harness - there you go, now you have the factory connectors and the GM sensor. If you ever want to go back to stock, you can resolder the connector back to the stock MAP or just buy a new stock MAP sensor.

i see what you're gettin at now. i thought you meant take the stock wires and just solder them to the sensor, without a plug. with my 2 years of electical experience, it just didn't sound too good. i might have to go that route, but i hope not
