Quick Check valve question

anyone know where this check valve goes to, and if i dont have it, could that be the reason my boost isnt where it needs to be (8-5-5)???

(not my picture, thanks whosoever's picture this is)

Is that the one that comes off the upper intake manifold? Looks like it.
If so, it dives down to the Double Throttle Control Solenoid...on the bottom row of solenoids, furthest toward the front of the car, directly under the Charge Control Solenoid.

edit:
If so, it probably has nothing to do with your boost pattern, I think.

Well, first, I took a look under my hood since I have the UIM off...
The 'all green' check valve goes from the UIM to a hard pipe near the front on the solenoid rack.
The white check valve with the light green cap on it is the one I was talking about.

If it's the Double Throttle Solenoid check-valve, then it's not a real worry for you as far as boost goes. If it is not functioning (many owners disable this solenoid) then you just have to ensure that your engine is fully warmed up before getting on the boost. There's thread on the Double Throttle system..search them out for more info.

As for your 8-5-5 pattern, I'd check your intercooler couplings first for leaks.

edit:
After looking at your picture, I'm not so sure that those are the UIM lines after all. I'd suggest studying the color vacuum hose diagram.

A malfunctioning double throttle CAN cause boost issues:

Double Throttle Control

* This keeps a second set of Secondary throttle plates in the throttle body closed. If the Double Throttle control is not working properly, (i.e. secondary always closed) then maximum boost will be restricted to ~5 psi.

Max, read through this link:

Well, yes, if vacuum is continuously applied to the DTC actuator, it would keep the plates shut.

I was under the impression that the hose was disconnected from the solenoid.

I suppose he could do a quick test by taking the vacuum hose off the DTC actuator and see if his boost comes back.

I would remove the check valve and test it. It should hold 10-15 psi and only flow in the direction toward the UIM. If it's malfunctioning or backwards it could screw up your boost.
