Possible new 3rd gen 93 RXY 7 owner w/a couple questions :)
i have tried searching but not much luck....
Have been interested in these amazing machines for quite some time.
now i have the oppoptunity to trade me celica for a green 93 rx7, Automatic w/77,116 miles. they are asking 12,9. for it. never have really liked driving autos. My question was how hard is it to drop a 5 speed manual into the 3rd gen?
i have seen a couple tranny's on ebay for the 300-700$ range. besides the tranny, pedal, shifter what else is needed?
also do you guys think this is a great deal?
here is the link for it on autotrader...
thanks

This is why we have a FAQ thread....which includes links to buying FDs and doing the manual swap.
In reality, if you want a manual car, it's best to just buy a manual car. A lot of swaps are hack jobs.
