Your best bet is to buy a new one, and just take your time and polish it, then install, and sell your current one. This will let you drive your car, and also do a good job.

This will require lots of sanding, starting with 220, then 400 and 600 grit. You can go higher if you like, but then hit it with a buffing wheel. Here is how mine turned out.
