Polished Alternator????

Can anyone recomend a good place to BUY a polished alternator? Does anyone even sell them polished? I need one ASAP so I don't have time to send one off to get polished. Maybe one of you part collecting junkies have one floating around you want to get rid of PM me.

Thanks for the help.

May be able to help as I have a polished one with low mile, good bearings and like new brushes. It was going to be used on my car and then my current alternator was to be my spare. I may be able to use your dieing alternator and the damaged one I bought from a forum member to get a good one out of the two. I would be looking for $175 for the polished one and if you send me your's I'd knock $25 off of the price, you get shipping for your alternator and I'd cover shipping for mine and you cover the paypal fee on $150. LMK. Jack

Tearing it back down today as the brushes weren't worn hardley at all and don't see why it would have tested that way at Autozone, I'm just glad I had it checked and didn't send it to you in that condition. I've got the housing for another one being finished up this week. Once again sorry and thanks for the interest. Jack

I would go with Jack's. The polishing he has done is awesome! I bet you he can get it to you fast. He is a good guy. Not many others would have tested it first! When I needed to learn polishing thats who I consulted. cant go wrong with Jack.

Wow ! ! ! ! Thanks for the words of praise there Jason. Well I spent some time on the baby today and finally got the polished TB put on, I also got Garrets power steering pulley installed, changed the oil. Tomorrow I wash and wax, rotate tires, and rest up for work. I waited too late to get the pictures and had to use the flash.
The Greddy elbow is next on the polishing list (will remove the Greddy logo)

Josh here is the first Aternator we polished and how it looks on the car. It didn't come out as well as the one that tested bad.
