Pettit 3 rotor Super 7....FOUND

You guys all remember that Pettit 3 rotor car featured on Turbo (maybe scc) magazine???

I think I remember something about the guy selling it and buying a supra or something...anyways, I found the new owner!

Last Sunday I attended my first Autocross event and right when I pulled into the parking lot I saw a modded orange FD with a huge GT wing messing around in the unused space. I found out where it was parked (trailored) and went over to check it out.

My first up close impression was, "HOLY ****"...this thing is extremely modded.

The body had the same size fenders as it did before (used to be purple) only now they were molded into the rest of the body, the whole body looked like 1 piece, it was super amazing! Everything was shaved (door handles, windows, antenna, emblem etc.) and from the inside I could tell that the doors were carbon fiber along with probably a lot of the rest of the body. It also had a vented hood ofcourse...Over the brilliant orange paint were a bunch of decals from his sponsors, including Pettit.

Inside, the interior was completely transformed, all the gauges were replaced with a single tac and a digital read out below it. I also noticed a Motec and some other engine sensor system (I think for the digital display under the tac)...Almost everything in the interior that wasn't purposeful was taken out, including the rear bins, carpetting, and everything else. A full roll cage was also installed ofcourse.

I almost couldn't hold in my urge to ask him to pop the hood, but I thought that might be just a bit too much frank He did however tell me that he had a 20B under it.

About an hour or so later I finally saw the beast in action...I was observing the course right in front of two straights, so when it passed by I got to here it REALLY open up! The sound was ****** incredible!! I think it also must have had the fastest speed on the straights because it was flying!

After it was done with it's runs I went back to talk to the owner some more. He told me that he bought the car like a year or 2 ago and that it was made by Pettit, he also said that it was on the cover of Turbo magazine (although it was completely different back then). After that I realized that the back end was exactly the same as the purple Pettit car I had pictures of (the one with the upside down efini emblem). Apperently this is what became of it

I'll try and get some pictures for you guys if he's at the next autocross event, which is Oct 20th...This is Definately the most impressive 7 I've ever seen, and I saw it in real life!!!

that car has a lot of potential...what a joy it must be to drive....personally Im not into the gutted interior with the aluminum dash or the weld accents. but as far as a track car that thing was sweet.
