It wasn't just the ride that did it, it was telling him afterward it was a 1.3l that blew his mind. He's a Mustang guy, and said something to the tune of "1.3 liters, and it just gave me the ride of my life? WOW!"

Usually though, they comment on the R1 suspension being stiff before they get to feel any power. Oklahoma roads + R1 Suspension = bad combo.

LOL i dont have any FD stories yet im still waiting for it, but I used to have a low 11 sec eclipse and on the window right above the door handle there was a sticker that said insert $1 for ride. Well on many occasions I have taken freinds for a ride and the end result was them giving me a $5 lol. On one occasion I met this girl while I was working and we started talking cars, well she was a real hard up domestic v8, cummin diesel imports suck kinda girl. When it came to me talking she asked what i drive and I told her an Eclipse, she almost totally lost iterest she was so hard up about v8, luckily I was charming and a bit of a talker and saved the conversation. Well i ended up getting her number and gave her a call she insisted on driving she had a w6 but I told her there was no way. I picked her up and her first impresion was is this a light show ( had my AVCR and AFC mounted along with my boost in the dash in front of her ) we left her house and I stayed light on the gas just listened to her talk about v8 beating up on imports and blah blah blah it was actually starting to unatract me alot. We get to a stop light and im thinkin i need to represent and shut this chick up I give it a couple raps on the gas and shes like sounds cute light goes green and I feather out my drop from around 6k all four get loose and it does the full lauch scwat Get second gear and all 20 lbs of boost come fluttering through my waistgate while tires are still a little unsure if they can grab yet bam now im in third and flying I have a split second to look over and see this chick pinned in the seat with the funniest face of uncertanty get into fourth and im still got here pinned and where doing around 120 and I let off. She give a sigh of relief smiles and says well i would have never expected that. we go to dinner back to her place and she shows me how she likes to ride wink wink, never saw her after that lol, but I think she had a new respect for at least some imports. Now I know its not a FD story but I look forward to having one of them later.

HOLY SH*T! After the secondary turbo kicked in.

Most ppl have NO idea how fast these cars are, and are amazed at the handling as well. I always loved giving ppl rides at work when the car actually worked.

hahahaha... One friend that owns an RX8 rang me as soon as he knew that I already had the FD. We met and went inside the FD. He said: "mmmmm, ugly" But as soon as the party began and the secondary started to scream, his face turned green and said: "Are you trying to scare me? Ok, ok... that's enough"

The reaction usually reminds of that scene in the Blues Brothers, where Belushi has been bitching about the x-cop car Akyroyd picks him up in, so Dan floors it and jumps the draw bridge.... the next shot, Belushi is sitting there all freaked out, and dryly says "cars got alot of pick-up".

I was at work at Circuit city. I had my FD in the install bay, and i was installing my wideband. I was kinda new and no one really knew what i had done. My manager came over and was like, cool car. He said" Oh ive been in a lot of fast cars, like a z06, viper....ect" He then says i should get a 150 shot of NOS for my car, I look at him and smile and tell him to get in. He never saw under the hood of my car I took him on an on ramp and did a 1st-4th gear to about 130ish. After i let off he said" You dont need NOS, this thing is retarded"

In my TT rotary FD they tend to get either REALLY loud or REALLY quiet when the secondary kicks in.

In my LS1 FD, they ask when the wheels will stop spinning...
