ive searched but need a link to the oil filter adapter ..(think its the fc version)
not sure thought....
if i dont tap my stock adapter, or by an fc version....im going to try dale's way ...by tapping the banjo bolt...anyone opinions welcome on any ideas out there ...

by the way its going to be a defi bf gauge and sender (if the sender size makes a differents )

When searching for adapters, be aware that the oil enters the engine via the oil filter pedestal on the FD. It enters elsewhere on other models, but I don't remember which models have which entry. Just be aware that not all oil filter pedestal adapters will work on an FD.

Just get the Greddy adapter that gives you a pressure and temp tap.

Tapping the banjo bolt is one of the few things I disagree with Dale on. I can gaurantee you it WILL NOT WORK with a Defi sender (personal experience). Looks like the Defi senders are bigger than most.

That's interesting that it doesn't fit with the Defi senders - my HKS sender fits great in the banjo bolt. Seems like they'd be similar size.

My only beef with that location is you get the temps of oil as it leaves the coolers, so you aren't seeing the hottest oil temp. The banjo bolt trick works well for oil pressure, though. I think to read hottest oil temps you'd have to read it from the oil pan. I've seen some setups where you replace the drain plug with one that's tapped for a sender - works, but that's all sorts of in the way when you go to change oil. Maybe if you could add a fitting to the oil pan for the sender, but that's one helluva big job.

Quite a few people have it. It's better than the Greddy unit in the sense that it retains the stock height of the filter mounting (i.e. it doesn't raise the filter any higher causing interference with the TPS).

I have an oil pan drain plug sender. I think it has to be the easiest location for a sender. Just put in the new plug when you change the oil. The new plug a has a simple spade fitting that you remove to install or remove the plug.

Honestly, I don't think I would want to see the temps of the oil as it leaves the front cover. I remember when I was tracking the car with the single stock cooler...and hitting 260F post oil-cooler.

Damn, that's nice. I wish that had been around when I bought my Greddy one years ago.
