Oil Leak Question

Just got a quick question.. I have had an oil leak for a while but i have not had time to fix it, i noticed it the last time i put my car away, becasue i put it away for the winter. I didnt start it up for a week after i put it away, but i started it up one day and pulled it back and noticed a HUGE puddle of oil on the ground. so i put oil in a let it run for about and hour, no leaks. I stopped the car and came back in the morning and about 50% of the oil i put in was in a pan i put under the car. Could this be the oil pan gasket that went? thanks for any info

I would start by laying under my car and trying to develop at least an inkling of where the oil is coming from. If it's as much as you describe it should be quite easy to locate.

Without looking under the car your leak could be in any of dozens of places.
