First of all, yes, the car is running super rich . When I start the car, oil is sputtered out of the exhaust pipe. What does this mean? At first I thought it might be gasoline, but now I think it may be oil because it leaves little black stains where the rear pipe is. If it were gas, I am assuming there would not be any stains.
BTW, my motor is rebuilt with about 7K miles on it and I am running the Apex single turbo.
Any info appreciated.

Im also having the same problem....except mine smokes quite a bit from the exhaust. I have a bone stock 93 TE with 73k on original motor. Im thinking its maybe because i havent started it sice August?

-Rotary Performance rebuilt the motor
- it is running rich b/c of the Super AFC
- I just had the oil changed last week and yesterday I pulled the car outta the garage and there was oil on the floor! WTF? How could it be leaking oil with such low miles?

mine, too, smokes when i first start it up after it sits for awhile (couple of days/weeks ) but it stops by the time it's fully warmed up. it has always done that since i got it new 8-yrs ago. i haven't ever had the compression checked, but it runs strong, the boost pattern is OK, never overheated, and 89k miles on original engine & turbos. i'm not really too worried about it. should i be????

...and for the thread.....ever since the CB & K&N filter, mine also spits out a little bit of oil upon startup after sitting for awhile. i suspect it's running pretty rich, but no AF gauge to confirm.

It doesn't sound like it's spitting out oil from the exhaust, if you ever have oil in your exhaust, it comes out in extremely thick blue clouds of smoke. If you're talking about the black deposits left behind the exhaust after cranking the car, that is carbon. The carbon means you're running pretty rich. You have incomplete combustion and the carbon is what is left over and the exhaust gases are just pushing it out. As for the oil leak under the engine bay, jack the car up and look for oil on components, chances are that it's a leaky oil pan gasket. Just make sure you keep normal oil levels and I would try and dyno tune some of that fuel out. Hope this helps and good luck.

Would you recommend it to others for a car that is street driven with occasional drag racing at the track? I NEED to get a stand alone soon, just don't know which one.

I love the Power FC for what I use my car for. If you're going to a big single turbo I'd recommend the Haltech. But for street/strip/track/smaller single turbo use, I'd go Power FC. I'm very happy with mine.

well, I just looked under the car and it is definiely coming from or around the oil pan. It's not a big leak, but significant enough. It has dripped a significant amount onto the surrouding frame (subframe??) pieces.

Any idea on a remedy for this or should I just take it into my mechanic? Any idea on cost to fix this problem?

Depending on your mechanical ability, it should be a simple fix. First get far enough under your car with adaquate light to see where the oil is coming from. Easiest is to wipe it all up with a paper towel and see where it is dripping from. Common places are all around the edge of the oil pan, and also from the gasket in the oil level sensor (mine drips a little bit from here) If you see oil coming down the exhaust side of the rotor housings, you have a turbo problem, but it's unlikely it'd be this bad. Just look around the oil pan and if it's a leaky gasket, just replace the gasket and make sure you torque all the bolts correctly. About an hour job with an oil change. Good luck.

Just one hour to replace the oil pan gasket? I thought it took quite a bit longer.

Any suggestions on how to proceed with that?
