Oil cap acceleration

This post serves as a precaution to those of us who suffer from adding oil frequently....... I was taking my friend for his first ride in an FD and decided to punch it in second gear @ about 4k. Well, time came to shift and I press in the clutch and my car immediately rev limits! Thank god I didn't miss 3rd gear this time..... After doing 80 on a residential side street, I finally decided to cut the key(thank god I didn't have a turbo timer). I pop the hood and realize my oil cap is missing... Low and behold, there it sits beneath the throttle holding it wide open! Lesson learned the hard way, make sure and securely fasten your oil cap! Sorry about the lame post, just thought it was a story worth sharing..........

Whoa, that must have been scary. I once got stuck doing WOT because my metal floor plate caught my pedal kit. Long story short, hit 8145rpm on the dyno.

It's a good thing you kept your cool in a panic situation. So was your friend impressed ?

Yep! I posted about this exact same thing a while back!
Isn't it just CRAZY how that cap fits in that spot so perfectly?
