new cat-back leaking

so, i put on my new Racing beat dual tip cat-back yesterday, and there's a small leak where it meets up with the catalytic. the leak is only on the bottom of the flange and i can't for the life of me figure out how to get it to go away. does anyone make a reducer for this junction??? the only thing i can think of is getting a stock 2.5" dia gasket instead of the 3" i got from rx7store maybe this would give me a just a tiny bit more seal between the two. otherwise, i'm gonna make a plate 1/8" steel that has exterior dimensions of the cat-back flange and a 2.5" dia hole through it then sandwhich this between a 2.5" gasket and a 3" gasket to make my own reducer. what about somekind of gasket sealant?

I have a gasket that is just a tad smaller than the racing beat 3 inchers....But well bigger than 2.5 inches...It might work for what you need
