Need Some Answers!

Im about to get my downpipe and i was wondering how long it would take to install and im having trouble with my oil gauge bounching up and down to 0 to 120 at times. but settles down after the car is warmed up. Could the gauge be doing this because its going out or is it something else? and mazda wants $125 for oil sending unit, is there any cheaper out there? and is the oil pump internal or external on the car? im just having some oil gauge probs and just want to be safe and make sure nothing else is wrong with the car, thanks!

the bouncing could be a loose connection or a grounding problem
i believe the stock sending units run between 60 and 80 bucks (i could be wrong on this one)
oil pump is in the front cover ,driven by a chain ,.........internal

It doesn't take too long for the downpipe to install. Just get an aftermarket gauge and you'll be fine
