I was out of country for over a month. I just tried to start my car, and after 5 minutes, the radiator start shooting out coolant. I guess I need a new radiator now. Any suggestions?

Are you sure it wasn't just the feeder hose that popped off? If it was just the hose, then burp your radiator and top it off with coolant...just trying to save you a buck or two;-)

thanks for all the info guys. . . I havent had the time to take it apart, but I will do that asap to find out what I need to get. If anything, I am pretty sure I want to go with the racing radiator. I am also thinking about the silicon radiator hose. I am just wonder if its worth to get them.

I replaced the main radiator hoses when I did the the koyo radiator, I went with the stock ones from mazdaformance, the upgraded ones were nice but for the money I didn't think they were worth it at the time, since replacing them isn't hard and my time is worth nothing.

Go to the search page, and input "Koyo", read, then go back to search page, type in "Fluidyne", read some more, then go back to the search page, type in "PWR", read some more, then return to the search page, try "Mazdacomp radiator", or perhaps just lump it all together by typing in "radiator upgrades".

You will learn a lot more and (hopefully) be able to make your own decision based upon what your needs are, rather than asking on a thread and getting responses with no information.

I use Fluidyne. Works very well for street a application. "Racing Raditors" should be saved for racing. If you still decide to go with a "Racing Radiator" you should be concerned about airflow through the core. Light to light driving will be the death of your motor cause you don't have the airflow needed to keep a "Racing Radiator" cool. I hope you understand what I'm saying here.
The plastic end tanks or some part of a 3rd gen Radiator will eventually go bye bye.. Since you'll be pulling the stocker anyway why not upgrade? Just trying to help.. Good luck!

I installed the new radiator today, and tried to start my car after 3 weeks. At first, the car was shaking a little bit, after about 20 minutes it was ok. But once again the coolant starts leak again, and I noticed it leaks from the connector. I am thinking maybe I should use the screw-in clamp instead the factor clip. . . . Oh Yeah, the M2 intake box doesnt fit anymore, I guess I will have to redesign a new one. . . .

Make sure your radiator is sitting as low as posible in the car. Also, you may want to consider doubleing up on this claps to be safe.

well, Once again, I am back. I have installed the radiator, and put everything back. I was so happy that everything is working now. Drove for 10 minutes, and the temperature gauge went to "HIGH" I guess I will need to replace the thermostat, luckily thats not that hard. The part that bothers me is that I have a small amount of leak coming under the location of the water pump, I have checked both radiator hoses, its ok, and near the water pump location, which is behind the belt, there are no trace of the coolant. Can someone please help me to locate the problem. Thanks,

I have tried to search the forum for that subject, and haven't found anything.

It most likely went to "high" do to air in the system...

do a search for "burping"

Thank you so much, I burp my baby 7, and now its running again. I am so happy, havent drove the car for almost 2 months.
