Look what just came in the MAIL...ACT goodies
Just wanted to show my fellow RX7 brothers what just came from Mr. UPS a couple days ago. ACT Street/Strip and XACT Prolite Flywheel.
Counterweight & Street Disc
Flywheel & Pressure Plate
All parts came from Jason @ RX7store.net (great service might i add). I havn't seen many posts about the XACT flywheel so I am assuming that not many people have tried or used it yet. I decided to get the XACT Prolite for 2 reasons: 1) I was told the materials used to make the flywheel was stronger than similar aluminum flywheels and 2) because it was made by ACT and I having matching products. Should be no different than any other 9.5lb flywheel, except the fact that its made of Chrome-Moly Steel, but I follow up on it after I break it in per recommended 500 miles.

if you have the act xtreme s/s setup, you might look forward to a broken clutch fork. i have one in mine, but it lasted almost a year before the fork took a crap. other than that i love it. great feel on the street and grabs like crazy at the track

I put one in a T2 awhile back( 2 months) It works great. The only thing I don't like about it is the fact that you can't replace the friction portion of the flywheel like with the RB or Indigo ones.
Still a quality flywheel.

Thats funny, I just broke my clutch fork last night. I have the ACT S/S clutch. Its been on there for 7k miles/9 months before the clutch fork took a dump. roughly 120k miles on the clutch fork.
do yourself a favor and replace the clutch fork while you are there. do a search and you'll see how often they break.

just an update for those following the thread.
i got my car back from Rick's Rotary Performance on Friday with the clutch and flywheel installed.
my impressions on the CLUTCH: clutch pedal feel is stiffer than stock (which was expected) but not no where near as stiff as a 6puck. i havn't broken it in yet so i havn't gotten on it much but from what i can tell it grabs well. the engagement point is still pretty much the same as stock.
my impression on the FLYWHEEL: this was the weird part for me, i had never driven a car with a lightened flywheel so i'm still trying to get used to it. it takes a lil more to get the car rollin from a stop, i will admit i stalled a couple times on my first stabs at it. the car's revs climb and drop more freely but like i said havn't broken it in so havn't gotten on it. but once it's broken it imma take it to redline and do a followup. other than that the lightened flywheel is still very streetable.

update:
sorry took so long for the update guys. here are my impressions thus far. i love this combo and the engine does feel like it revs more freely, picks up revs very fast and accelerates much quicker. in the couple races i've been in i'm finding it hard to launch but i expected that...i just gotta refine my technique a lil bit. i've raced a lightly moddified TT supra and lost but lost by like a fender only. so the potential is there, now i can't wait till i put my exhaust, dp and **** in thats just sitting around collecting dust.

You will find once you get past about 350 to 360 rwhp the street/strip is not enough clutch. I have since moved on to the xtreame (using an 'old' SR 9.5 flywheel) and it is barely holding on with my T04S. Will probably need to go to Exedy Twin Disk system if I want to stay organic. I have a feeling I won't get a year out of the Xtreame.
YMMV, but I got plenty of use out of my street/strip running in the 330 rwhp range. Sounds like you've got room to grow still. You should invest in a stainless steel clutch line. The additional stress on the standard line, coupled with age, will cause the older rubber ones to bulge under use and eventually burst. Very common failure on our cars.
