jdm vs. us spec
I've read a whole bunch of stuff on here about jdm motors. Conclusion: don't buy jdm motor to drop in, rebuild it first. JDM and US Spec blocks are the same but bolt-ons are different.
Here's the question, my car already came with a jdm motor, what's the big deal if its jdm or us? Is jdm motor more powerful, has more hp? Different turbo set up?

NO, there is no power difference. Some models made 280 hp instead of 255 because they ran a downpipe and slightly higher boost. The engines are the same. All the accessories are the same. The only differences are the rat's nest and more advanced ecu on 96+ cars.
