Red face I thought number 7 was suppost to be lucky...

Wellll to start this out got to show the pic...

That is the last mile my car will reach because of a few reasons. First my motor has been limping on one leg so that will get redone with something along the lines of T-78 to keep it company. The winter is upon us so why not a motor swap.

Second I got into a fender bender... yes... and it ******* sucks. Well the damage to the car is minimal but the people I hit are about a pain in the ***. Story as follows....

I was stopped at a stop sign waiting to make a right behind a minivan. The minivan was taking its sweet *** time.... turning onto a 2 lane street. Traffic was moving in the left lane but the right lane (which you would turn onto) was empty. After being dumb asses for a while they decided to move forward, I thought they were gone. Well after looking over and since there was no traffic in that right lane I decided to let off the clutch. Bam.. right into the bastards. I guess they moved forward some and stopped again. I was more shocked more than anything else at that point... my baby was damaged.... well we got out and assessed the damage. Nothing to their minivan except for my flecks of paint which were just held on by static and you could move with your finger. My car got about a fist of paint taken off the bumper, the fender buckled to leave a nice little split in the paint, and the mounting points moved to leave a 2mm gap from the bumper to the headlight. I figure I have a few friends who do reallllllllly nice body work so that’s not so much an issue, its minimal damage anyway.

The main problem is the people were claiming I bent their frame, yes... bent... frame. Completely ridiculous huh? If that’s not enough they were "hit pretty hard our necks and backs hurt." My insurance is going to screw me in the *** because of accidents with my daily beater. I am trying to keep this away from insurance as much as possible, even though the other people already filed a claim. I have pictures I took at the scene which I will try to post up here too. With those pictures it will make it harder for them to falsely accuse me of any extra damages.

Sorry to hear about the bad luck. Unfortunately when you deal with "opportunists" like that, when it rains, it pours.

And BTW, that pic is a trip! Why don't you shrink it and make it your new avatar?

first of all, you did hit them and yes it was all your fault. unless they thru it in to reverse and floored it and smashed in to you, its your fault!!! why did you not even look foward to see if it was clear. i guess you were using your magical esp huh?

the reason why I might be comming off as a dick here is because some bitch hit me today the exact same way your describing your situation. it bent my rear frame in about 1-3 inches and even hit my gas tank as well as crumpling my rear fenders and pressing my trunk in! while it was not in my fd (thank god) it did pretty much total my brothers car and I was hurt in the process; although i highly doubt i will be compensated for the pain/damage to me as my back is very much in pain right now. in anycase, you would be suprised at how much personal injury one can sustain from a low impact crash. personnaly, id like to kick the crap out of the woman instead of sueing her! (on another note: here in Hawaii, unless your medical bills are over $10k, you can't sue anybody and car insurance does not cover any type of medical care at all! also, since i dont have health insurance as i just got out of college and don't have a full time job as well as being pretty much flat broke, i can't afford to go to a doctor/chiropractor to attempt to fix my back which is in quite a bit of pain)

What really pisses me off is that the bitch got out and blammed me for the crash (kinda like how you are saying "Bam.. right into the bastards"), apparently i was taking too long at a redlight!!! yes a red light, i did not go so she decided to floor it in to me and she has the nerve to say its my fault. It took damn near all of myself control not to punch her as hard as I could as she came out and started mouthing off at me! apparently, the rear car is always in the right and the front car had better well get the f*ck out of the way huh???

P.S. You hurt your own baby so stop being such a baby about it! god i hate whiners which screw up their cars (espeically FD's) because of their own stupidity and blame others for it. take responsibilty for your actions.

you have a good point skunks, but from the pics, it sounds like these people are in it for the money. ive been in many wrecks, and his wreck is a minor 1. they may possibly be sore from it, but it will not last more than a few days. and the van driver saying their frame is bent is complete bullsh*t. there is not way its bent.
it seems like both of you are getting the sh*t end of the stick....

Dude chill out I know it was my fault, im not blaming her. I said the damage is minimal and that’s not so much an issue. I could have sworn they went all way though the intersection, I didn't even see them in my peripheral vision as I was watching traffic. If I had messed their car up at all then cool I deserve to pay out but I didn't. They even claimed that the running board on their minivan were pushed back 2 inches because of the impact!!!!! Also there was a little water dripping off my car because the last time it was driven I got stuck in some rain and had to come home. Yeah well they were like "what’s that water, I think you damaged our motor."
They are just out to get what they can and I will get an attorney if need be so they wont screw me.

P.S. Don’t tell me you haven't made one mistake with your car if not ascetically then mechanically through the time you have owned it. I have had my car 3 years now and this being the only fender bender. I keep my car in good shape; I don’t and haven't screwed it up. If I was whining I would be positing like "blah life sucks..." no I was posting news on my car because it’s going down so I can do the motor and it happened I had something to post about an accident. If you happened to loose the rear end around a turn and slam into a tree would you not post about it???? so keep it in your pants, your in hawaii go have a beer on the beach and relax.

7-sins,

**** them. Tell them to sue you! No Lawyer is going to take their case. Because it's total bullshit.

Deny that you even hit them. Unless you have already spoken to their third party (their insurance, lawyer, whatever). They have no witnesses people riding in the car do not count since they are biased. Do not get your insurance involved, insurance typically just pays (unless it's huge).

Whenever they try an contact you just reply sue me. and hang up.

How do I know this? Some *** wipe hit my sister's car. Damaged it pretty good. $2000 worth of damage. And that is exactly what he did. Now she has to go into court to get her money for her repairs... Pain in the ***. But since she really DID get DAMAGED she is going to go all the way. The ***** you hit are just trying to take advantage most likely won't even pursue.

Yeah I reset it at 77000. I actually just timed it right so when I pulled in the garage it went to .7. On my last drive it was at like 777.5 by the time I got to my street so I drove around in a circle or two then pulled it into the garage and it clicked over. I need a new cluster anyway because my tach is pegged out (not working) well it kinda jumps around sometimes. I will pull that cluster out with that mileage still on it. I probably could get a 12v source to it and make it into some kinda display, too bad the tripometer will reset as soon as I take it out.

Montego,

That would be sweet buttttt a cop did show up to the accident, and helped us swap information but wouldn't write a report cuz it was minimal damage. Also there was a passenger in her car, not to mention her husband came to the scene as well. They have contacted their insurance and filed a claim from what my insurance told me. I gave them a statement and they are going to send an assessor out.
