I have a FD and my car is currently in the shop getting a fresh motor. I was wondering if anybody could tell me how much power i will be making with these mods i've listed.
*new motor with street port and 3mm seals
*single turbo(to4s 60-1) 14psi
*aftermarket fuel rail with 1600cc secondary injectors and 255lph fuel pump
*3" exhaust from turbo to Apexi cat back(which is 3")
*Greddy underdrive pulleys
*huge v-mount intercooler
*Apexi power FC
Any educated guesses or estimations from experience is greatly appreciated.
i was hoping for the 400hp mark. i went with 3mm because i was told they are more reliable than the 2mm.
3mm More reliable???????????? where did you read that from????????? i wish i had a dime for every how much Hp thread there was, i would be a rich...............oh wait i already am
if you want to know how much power your car has you should dyno the thing
detonation running 50 psi. rotor collapsed, 2mm apex seals ok. but hey, whatever helps you sleep at night. milling the grooves does resets the clearance and gets rid of V'ing or Y'ing towards the tip.

a-men to that thread. That detonation is impressive. Milling the grooves to 3mm is only useful for worn out rotors. The 3mm seals are heavier, increase friction, and will wear out your housings faster. This thread shows, that a good set of 2mm seals will perform just as well under detonation as any 3mm seals.
Why do people have to be a**holes on here? I just asked a simple question and hoped for a simple friendly estimate by fellow 7 enthusiests. I didn't come here to get ridiculed. To answer your question Boostedfd3s Im from the Greensboro area. Burlington to be exact. Also I don't know what dyno my tuner is using xblazinlv. The work is being done by Rotor Sports Racing in Kannapolis, NC.

who was being an *******? We were all just voicing our opinion. No open attacks on you that I saw. The reason for asking about the dyno is that a Mustang dyno will read ~10-15% lower than a DynoJet.

Yep, the mustang dyno in my local area reads between 15 and 20% lower than the dynojet on average. It's a heart breaker dyno
you can't really guess HP figures on decently modded engines, we could guess 450 to the wheels but the truth is without a good tuner it may only put out 300 to the wheels if that.
you should just be patient and wait to see how well it does, personally i hate these threads because no one can guess how well your engine will perform even under the best circumstances because i have been impressed time and time again with what people can pull out of a lowly setup.
i am planning on the same setup (allready got it just wating for it to come in) but i went with the microtec. I was told i really didnt have to change my injectors. They said it was just an option if i wanted too? what do you guys think?
