its like an old timey device that people used to use before we had easy access to nice drop-in fuel pumps for cheap. If i recall it boosts voltage to the fuel pump based on a pressure sensor. I remember how i searched and searched for a jacobs accuvolt to run my fuel pumps and tec II about 10 years ago to accomplish something similar.

It's been a while since I've messed with one. On oldschool 90s fuel systems (like the FD has) they work great if you have maxed out a single pump.

Instructions are here: http://mustangpartstech.com/General_...neBellBAP.html

you are basically wiring it in-line with the pump. It's not much different from a fuel pump rewire. If possible get the 40 amp unit.

yes...

i have run mine since 99 w a cosmo/supra/denso pump. it ran my 850/1680s to 95% duty cycle w no sweat.

what is especially neat is it only works under boost so you aren't constantly cycling too much gas back and forth..

my module is located near my battery behind the pass seat along w the adjustment dial. it is easy to reach behind the seat and turn up the dial. i have run my BAP at plus 20% voltage gain since installed.

just as an FYI, my fuel pump remains in excellent condition after 10 years even w the voltage gain.

another nice aspect of the Kenne Bell system is the boost diaphragm is located under the hood and translates the signal into wires which are easily run to the module in the pass compartment.

the competing MSD product receives it's signal w a vacuum hose to the module so the module needs to be located under the hood. this lengthens the wires to the fuel pump and also under hood space is a bit more limited (for me).

love it.
