How does the "ranking" under the names work?

How do you move up the "ranking"? "Exhaust Leak", "Spinner", ETC. I realize it comes from posting threads, but where is the breaks? Being an "Exhaust Leak" sucks....

You have to be an exhaust leak until 1000 posts

j/k in all seriousness though don't be too concerned with ranking, concern yourself more with learning as much as possible.

Once you get to 1000 posts you can change it to whatever you want. I dunno how often it changes from 0-1000 though.
