How do I remove the headlight assembly?
I have done a search and none of the posts are very clear on how to do it. I have removed the 2 10mm bolts on the back of the assembly. I have remove the 2 10mm nuts on the back. What next? If you want to explain it over the phone call me at 210-566-5667 and ask for Bill.
Thanks

you have to turn the little red **** under the black cap, and raise the lights, then unbolt the motor from the bracket, also pulling the rod off of the motor. very easy, just takes awhile, but thats like everything on the fd. take your time, and look for the bolts, there should be 3 of them on the motor. good luck

If you just want to remove the headlight then you can leave the motor alone. You need to raise the lights, remove the bezel(four screws) look down under light locate connecting arm pry it off .
You will need the top cover to be removed also, once you have removed the front bezel in the light up position you can get to the two screws holding the front of the top cover, put lights down and remove two screw on rear of top cover.Remove top cover.
Now you will see two 10mm nuts one on each side of the h/light housing remove these and push the 12mm headed bolts out.Remove bulb connector and manouver h/light out.
There is a stop bracket that will be in the way, this is where you'll need to do that little manouver.
There is no need to remove the 10mm nuts/bolts on the slam panel unless you want to remove the complete assembly.
