Hks Pfc F-con
I recently bought a used PFC F-CON. Prior to installation I opened it up because it looked tampered with. Upon opening it, i noticed that it smelled burnt. I asked the guy who sold it to me and he said that that is because he had just removed it off of his car. (does this sound plausible?) Once I had my mechanic install it, he test drove it and came back wth the words "the car falls on its face when it hits boost" I tired it and sure enough when the car starts to reach boost, it just starts to scramble and doesnt know what to do. What can be the cause of this? Im guessing its the ECU.

Have you tried contacting HKS?
Either:
1. There's a problem with the F-con
2. It needs to be programmed
As far as I know, HKS ships those with a pre-programmed map specifically for the car (in which you then fine tune). They don't list the FD as one of their specific applications so you should probably contact HKS about it.
