For the clutch pop off the inspection covers. Make sure the slave cylinder head is seated correctly on the fork. If it wasn't, it probably popped off when you pushed the clutch pedal.

If it is seated on the clutch fork, see if you can move the fork and check to make sure that it is engaged. Most commonly the wire retaining ring might not be grabbing on. That $3 part can be a real pisser sometimes.

How did you install the complete engine thru the top or under with the cradle off?
