HELP! Lower intake plastic elbow

Hey.

First question so be gentle.

I looked for a while through the threads before i asked this question so I'm sorry if its already been talked about.

Here we go-
Replacing vacuum hoses and other stuff. All the plastic pieces are so brittle, everything i touch breaks.
The lower main intake tube from out the airbox goes down and clamps to a plastic elbow joint with two vacuum hoses coming out of it. One of the posts for one of those hoses snapped off on mine. My question is, Is there somewhere i can buy a whole new elbow joint that's made of metal so i won't have to worry about it breaking again? I've looked for a while online but can't find one. Is there somewhere online i can buy a new stock one?

Thanks

P.S.
I love this forum. I've already gotten many answers to many questions. So thanks to all you rotary guys. Thanks to the dumb ones, [like me], for asking the questions. Thanks to the smart and experienced ones for answering those questions.

I think the HKS RS intake kit if one of the few kits that completely replaces that plastic elbow, but there may be others. IMO, this intake is by FAR the most attractive one.

I know some of you guys may be tired of this picture, but it helps in almost any problem, lol.

Sounds like you are referring to the primary turbo inlet pipe.

You can buy a used one here in the parts for sale dept. I'm sure there are plenty of people that have one of those laying around. Especially the single turbo guys.

New try Ray at Malloy Mazda. I'm sure you read the FAQ thread and already have his number.

I've never seen a metal one of those as they don't fail very often.

Congrats on using the Search button and asking a decent first question that hasn't been rehashed 50,000,000 times.

You can save yours by going to the local hardware store and buying barbed hose fittings of the size you need, drilling and tapping them in where yours broke off. Been there, done that.

you could also just get a stock replacement and use silicone hoses to prevent the hoses from dry rotting themselves onto the elbow. thats just my 2 cents

Good advice all around.

Not a big problem but I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a metal one for sale somewhere that was hiding from me.

Some of my check valves are broke as well. One broke when i touched it. One or two more were broke before i got there.

I sure hope whenever i get my Rixer back together it runs better.

Thanks guys.

You can replace to broken stock check valves with viton ones. They're cheaper then the OEM ones and they'll last quite a bit longer. Search for those bad boys. I think Dale Clark is still selling 'em.

Yeah, I ordered check valves already. Sounds like I ordered the same ones you're talking about.

One other thing that broke was a sensor? looking thing on the top side of the lower intake manifold. Just to the right of the 4 inlet ports. I Don't yet know what it is or what it does but there is two small vacuum lines going into it and one of the vacuum posts broke off. Very brittle. What is it? How much is new one and where do i get one, [dealer i'm sure]. Is it something i can eliminate? I don't want to pay to replace something i can simplify.

Any and all help is much appreciated.

i think your talking about the turbo control solenoid. ill post up a picture later to verify thats what it is. but if it is then i have one i can sell you for $10 plus shipping. and once again the best way to prevent dry rotted hoses is to replace the hoses with silicone hoses. but anyway ill post that pic and let me know if thats it or not. thanks man

I thought all the soleniods were together? [Again, I'm new at this]
