This has probably been answered many times but I did a search and came across this thread and was wondering if this thread would apply to the 3rd gen headlight motor?

My headlight will go up but wont go down on my driver side.

If that thread isn't what I need could someone please help point me in the right direction or thread. Or if it would be better just to replace the motor than try to fix it.

your post is confusing...is this a 3rd gen you are talking about?

 

that happens on miata's alot. it's usually the headlight retractor relay going bad
