it was my fuel pulsation dampener. there is a plastic plug in the top of it that was loose and fell out. the fuel leaks out of the hole. has anyone heard of this and is there a fix or do you just replace it. thanks!

Must replace it!
I dont believe it's a plastic cap, on mine it is a screw that was loose and ready to fall out. You need to replace the entire unit because the rubber becomes brittle and stiff with age.

Don't let your 7 burn! =)

I once had a fuel leak and I took it to a shop and they told me it was the pulsation damper. But when replacing it they found out it was my fuel injectors. The injectors were fine but the connectors on top of the injector was where the fuel was leaking. So I went ahead and replaced all 4 injectors. Make sure you know what it is first before replacing it. Luckily mine didnt catch on fire??

Mine is the damper also, but that part is on back order right now. How much did it cost you. It seems like i never get my car out of the shop with out a $400 bill or higher.
