Well I made 300.1 rwhp at 11.8 psi with HKS FMIC, M2 DP, PFS CB, RP Pulleys, and Pettit Intake on an untuned Power FC. Lets just say that my AFR's were dangerous. But you should expect a little bit more with a midpipe instead of the pulleys on a tuned PFC. I would say 315 rwhp.

Mods you mentioned plus KDR street port, '99 Twins, 14.6 psi, 10.9 AFR Power FC. Power was the same with 13 psi, only with less torque

SleepR1,

Wow, that really drops at 7k. I would have expected more after that, especially with a street port. Any idea why it drops there?

Nope, my KDR street port is designed for good midrange power. As you can see the hp began to dip past 6500 rpm, so there was no point in Jason (Rx7 Store) leaving his foot in it. He gets off the gas @ 7000 rpm (eventhough my redline is set @ 8000 rpm). Note that with a street port, the torque peaks later @ 5750 vs 5000 rpm for a stock ported motor. Note how the '99 twins start making 100 ft-lb torque @ 2400 rpm, with 71% of peak torque (200 ft-lb) made @ 2700 rpm. This is great for street driving! The broad, and relatively flat torque curve is what makes me grin, not the 341 rwhp peak. Torque is what I need for autocross and road course racing...

that is a really nice curve sleepR1, but i would've thought you'd have a good 20 or 30 more hp on the top end with those mods listed and your FMIC? you weren't still pushing through the stock IC on that dyno were you?

Yeah that there be some nice number you put down. I would run more boost because of the FMIC but.. Doesn't the stock injector duty cycle like max out at 12 psi?

particleeffect, GReddy Type 24 V-spec 2-row FMIC. The 341 rwhp, 281 ft-lb torque was after MULTIPLE dyno pulls, probably 10...we were tuning for a couple of hours (nearly 1/3 tank of gas consumed). The stock IC would have heatsoaked like a "*****" LOL I had the boost set to 15 psi, so the boost control was working well with 14.6 psi actual. At that boost pressure, you've pretty much maxed out the efficiency of the twin Hitachi units. My Japan specs (1999 and newer) twins have different seals, and shorter (redesigned) compressor wheels to spin more quickly at lower rpm for quicker spool up.

RX7WEE, thanks. I have 1300-cc secondary injectors, and Nippondenso Comp fuel pump.

Jason and Zavier of the Rx7 Store do a conservative tune with relatively rich AFRs for safety's sake. They know the dyno ain't the real world, so they tune conservatively enough to compensate for more ram air effect from the car moving @ speed. The increased air intake volume from ram air tends to lean out the mixture. On top of that, I ran 50% 110 leaded, and 50% 94 unleaded, for a total octane of 102 (I was afraid of blowing the motor on the dyno LOL ). Jason tuned <11 AFR, to compensate for when I switch back to pump gas (92-94 unleaded), when the AFR will lean out to 0.5 point to 11.4 (11.9-ish @ speed), thus yielding more hp and torque. That dyno plot reads 341 rwhp/281 rwft-lbs, but in reality, the numbers are ALOT higher than that.

I can tell you that from the seat of my pants, the car hauls ***, and I'm NOT afraid of Z06es that want to come get some (whoop-***) from me LOL

Whats the best injectors?

ok sleeperR1 I got a another question.
the fastest car i have ever been in is mine. sooo is your car soo fast that its hard to reach up and grab things? i would like a ride in a super fast car but i have like the fastest car around. so is it all that great? i mean its great to drive my car and i love it. but ya know.... is it better than sex?

Sex, what's that? I'm having too much fun owning everything in sight LOL There's only one FD3S in Indy that's faster, and that's radkins single turbo FD pushing 432 hp @ the wheels @ 15 psi. He has a T04S single turbo, Pineapple Raceport, ASP Medium, and all the requisite fuel mods, and Power FC tuned to 11-ish AFRs (I think?). Rx7 Store tuned his FD conservatively, so he's probably closer to 450 in real world conditions...

There's a Cincinnati guy that dyno'd with me last Saturday @ the Rx7 Store. Stone cold engine (except for warm-up), Greg's car made 319 rwhp, and 250 ft-lb torque. His mods were modest--Pettit intake, stock IC, DP/Hi-flow/RB catback, underdrive main pulley, M2 Stage III ECU upgrade, stock twins, stock motor with 38,000 miles. On the second pull with about 10-12 minutes of heatsoak, the hp dropped to 299 rwhp.

A large IC core buys you more consistent hp production. I wonder how many pulls the guys that posted their numbers had? Remember I was tuning with 10 to 12 pulls on the dyno over a 2-hour time span. The GReddy 2-row FMIC consistently helped the KDR motor and J-spec twins make 320 to 340 rwhp.

A friend of mine with the same mods as me except he had a blitz FMIC and an M2 "tuned" computer put down 344 to the wheels. He ran a 12.0 at 115. Just to give you an idea. That is with a stock motor and stock turbos. He had it set to 15 psi

I wonder if I have comparable numbers (the lower numbers).

My current mods are

Mild street port (just built still in the break in period)
DP
Straight pipe
HKS F-CON piggy back ECU. (the old skool one, but that's ok I have an old skool car )
Boosting 11-9-11

I was thinking I prolly have anywhere from 270-280 RWHP. But after reading this thread I'm hoping I have closer to 300.

I know it has some power because the tires were breaking loose at TRANSITION on third gear. I do confess that it was on a wet road (mechanic was testing it out) but still even in those conditions is was a good sign.
