FD3S Rev counter stopped working

Does anybody know if the FD3S are subject to rev counter failures?

I literally watched mine fluctuate up and down for a little bit, then cease working in front of my eyes, Rev buzzer and engine seem fine and runs without a problem which points to the cluster itself.

Is this a known problem and if so is there a quick fix, such as connector problem, bad earth etc.

I am running a PFC which was fitted prior to me purchasing the car from Japan.

Many thanks for taking the time to read my query.

I had the same issue, its a pretty straight forward fix. Disassemble the tach, there will be a roundish
motor sort of thing behind the needle/face, just have all of the points on its circuit board resoldered.
That did it for me.
