I reused mine but put some petroleum jelly on it, then some high temp silicone and it sealed it very well

I just took my intake manifold off and got it painted/ported/cleaned. I got the TB cleaned also. I ordered a new throttle body O ring and gasket from the Mazda dealership.

Since this is a different throttle body, I suggest you replace the gasket. The o-ring doesn't need replaced unless it's squashed flat.

Call up Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda, 888 533 3400. He owns an FD so you don't need to know part #s, he ships small stuff for free, and he offers club discounts. I can't believe there are still people on this forum who don't know about him

It's a trade secret of the older guys. Apparently when someone sells his FD he doesn't pass that information on.

Dear word! I just ordered a throttle body o-ring from Ray....$17!!!!! That's an expensive piece of rubber/EPDM/viton/silicone/whatever.

The throttle body<=>UIM gasket was only $11 and the UIM<=> gasket, $7.
