Exact Parts to Build a 4 Rotor
Hey guys.
Planning on building this beast.
Could anyone tell me if I've got my parts list right to build a 4 rotor from (2 x FD engines - Series 6).
Rotors x 4
FD plates x5
FD Stat gears f and r ?
Oil pump FD
Covers bolts 20a set

Yes, that is a tried and true way to make a 4 rotor.
Its not as short as a Mazda Factory Race 4 rotor, but it is shorter than the two 2 rotors coupled together with stock eccentric shafts (which is also tried and proven).
This should help the OP-

parallel, not in series. Something like...
B6 A4 with twin-turbo V8 engine - AudiWorld Forums
Depends on the chassis layout I guess.
I was thinking F body bellhousing on Corvette transaxle with me sitting in the back seat of my RX-8 and 8 glorious rotors making noise in front of me.
Budget 8 rotor RX-8 sounds great. Mines even got the navi (gonna need binoculars for that) so I can plot my routes to all the gas stations between wherever I am trying to go.

Hey, Blue. I'm in stitches... I know Logan is doing a 4 rotor twin turbo. Should be a smooth 1000 whp or so. I guess the guy just can't get his jollies off anymore with 750 or 800. Just doesn't have that oomph. Logan's also doing a 4 rotor supercharged low budget project probably in the 750-800 range. His pricing is still wrong, so get in line now. His range of 4 rotor NA's is 500-750 hp or so and prices go from $32-35,000 or so. He's miss-priced the high end for sure. And for those us dumb enough to be among the first multi-rotor engine builds, I assure you these prices are cheap. I mean seriously attractive. Undervalued. A bargain. There are many, many people who spent as much as $50,000 or more on a single turbo build. Let's see hands.
The basic parts for a 4 rotor are at least $17,000 and that may be pretty low. The machining of oil passages and other things, the porting, and especially the balancing are all expensive. And you can't do the balancing yourself unless you happen to own a $15,000 balancer already. Trying to get to balanced by Carlos Lopez at CLR is like finding a unicorn in your back yard and adds hundreds of dollars of base cost for the DIYers out there. If you want one and can actually afford to build it yourself, you can afford to have to done right by Logan. Now, it might be pretty cool to add a supercharger to my 20b. Maybe if I get him a few 26b customers, he'll give it to me free...
I guess I could see an NA 4 rotor making 550 whp or so in an FD. It would be nowhere near as nuts as getting on boost in a 20b turbo at 80 or so. The linearity of the power makes it more manageable. Actually, manageable, anyway. So, if you want 500-600 whp and can afford it, the 26b NA is about the best motor. A twin turbo 26b is indescribably nuts. It would be rude and insulting to be describe it honestly. I do have something positive to say about it though. It makes a very big statement.

6 rotor is weak. 8 rotor!
See my post above. F body bellhousing on Covette transaxle is 36" long putting 4 13Bs end to end to end to end the front motor is in the stock location on an RX-8.
No complex machining required, just couplers between the motors.
Make a nice motorcycle like arcing backbone chassis to hold the motors and keep the car rigid after you hack out the trans tunnel.
