Do the pipes inside the SR intake have a bead for the K&N filters? I have an early prototype of the M2 carbon fiber intake and it has straight pipes. Since you have to really cram the filters in there, and the pipes are smooth, one or the other of them is always falling off.

Anyone know if later M2s had beads? Seems like a rediculous oversight.

The sr intake does not have a bead, but i haven't had a filter fall off. The first couple wks i checked often to make sure they stayed on and never had a problem. If I remember correctly I did rough up the inside pipes with some sand paper...... don't know how much that'd actually help though

good. i was thinking of getting one. i really would like to have the carbon fiber one. looks nice in the engine bay...

i was thinking, i bet you could replace the cover (i noticed it bolts on) with a piece of lexian. then you could just look at it and know that the filters havent fallen off! haha
