Disney Fan Mod ? - Searched!!!

I attempted the DD fan mod today and had a semi-success. I DO have the fan update on my car, and it is the a 93 base model.

The conditions are as such:

1) The engine was cold (temps below 125 so the t-stat was closed),
2) The two wires (from the relays) are spliced together
3) The ignition is in the "on" position

The result (so far) is as such. When I turn the ignition to the "on" position, the fans immediately come on (and turn off when I take the key out. They stay on for as long as there is power running to the car.

I have not installed the switch so the problem cannot lie in that wiring.

I have no mods dealing w/ the ECU - only DP, and intake.

Electronics guru's please help out!

Thanks.

Rev

UPDATE: I have installed the switch and it serves to turn the fans on/off after the car is totally off.

Someone has to have an idea of what is going on here!

Did you do the mod posted here? http://rx7.voodoobox.net/howto/fanswitch/fanswitch.html

This is what I did, I have a switch which has an "Off position" a "Low Speed" and a "Medium Speed". The low speed will work with the ignition on or off, and the medium will work only with the idnition on. If you are doing just the low speed, this will work with the ignition off.

I hope this helps
