Disabling airbag
Did a search with not much help..
I want to take out the airbag from my car
problem is, when i take it out, the airbag light blinks because the horn wire isn't plugged (code 6). Also I get a malfunction CEL #10 (airbag system malfunction)
question:
-which wire is it that i need to connect so i can have my horn back and get rid of that warning light?
-how do i disable the airbag system?

I diabled my passenger side airbag about 2years ago so that my son could ride in the car with me without worrying about the airbag going off (whoch could be fatal if it went off while he is in the car). They make an airbag switch that you can install. You have to actually apply for a special license to install it, but I just disabled it altogether.
I went the cheap easy way and did not install a resistor to disable the warning light. I simply put a peice of black electrical tape over the window where the light flashes. I know it is ghetto, but it works. You can't even see the light flashing unless you are looking for it.
If nothing else, it is a temporary fix.

Just wanted to replace it with the efini wheel cause it looks better imo
I don't want the light to keep blinking
Airbags save lives sometimes but I sit fairly close to the steering wheel.
badddrx7,
Thanks!
