Detachment of oxygen sensor
Just wondering if I need an extra bung to attach a wideband for tuning, or if its okay to just detach the stock 02 sensor and put it in there. Will it just default rich?

If you just take the stock sensor out, you will never see closed loop and will be rich at idle, cruise, partial throttle, etc.
You can get a wideband controller that will give an analog 0-1V signal to the PCM. That way you could use the existing hole in the downpipe for the wideband, and still maintain the stock O2's function. Keep in mind though, the stock O2 position is at the top of the downpipe where it will see tons of heat.
I just got the Innovate gauge and wideband controller set and it has this option, but I'll be welding the bung further down the downpipe and still use the factory O2.

Are you using an aftermarket PCM? If you are running the PFC you do not need the stock 02 sensor. I personally would run the wideband in the stock location if thats the case especially since the bung is allready installed.

Yeah, Im running the PFC, thats good to know that I don't even need it haha. Im only going to be tuning it with my friends wideband then putting it back in his car, since I cant afford one right now anyway.

Long term, it's best to have the O2 sensor mounted farther downstream in the exhaust, the end of the downpipe preferably. If you were going to permanently install it there, the extra heat from having it right after the turbos isn't the best for the O2 sensor's life.
The PowerFC's base maps actually work GREAT with the O2 sensor disabled. The base map is tuned well enough that you still get great fuel economy, idle, everything even with it disabled. I've been driving my car like that for quite some time and get 17-19 MPG city driving.
If you can remove your downpipe, take it to any muffler shop and have them weld on an extra bung. I had it done on my downpipe for like $15 while I waited.
