Charge Cooler

I got my hands on a charge cooler for free and I'm contemplating using it on my FD. Anyone know the pros/cons vs an intercooler? Know of anyone that has done this on an FD?

You can try doing a search. I read about one guy in the forum who actually fabricated a set. I don't know about the results but in my opinion the heat in the engine bay will heat up the charge cooler so not worth the time. Gotta get the cooler as close to the air stream in front of the car or it will just heat soak

Well, a "charge" cooler is just another name for an intercooler (intake charge cooler), unless you are talking about a brand name or something. If you are, how about posting a pic or link so we know what you are talking about?

My mistake. Charge Cooler is a name of a liquid intercooler that Lotus utilizes. This a pic I found off the web, but I have the same exact one. It's off a GMC Syclone. Got it for free.

Exactly what I was looking for.. He is using the same LI I have. Thanks, Mahjik. I didn't find that when I searched for it. I'm slowly getting better. Thanks again.
