Question Can my ported W/G...

Hey guys, after realizing that my clutch will more than likely not hold the power I was going for , I've decided that I'm going to turn the boost down and use the base mod map until until I can buy a new clutch and get a tune. My question is, do you think my PFC will be able to keep the boost as low as 6psi on my ported non-sequential twins, or will I have to invest in an EBC?

And rather than make another thread for this, can anyone make a relative guess what kind of psi I would have to push to reach factory bhp with the mods in my sig? I don't want to make the car slower, but I at LEAST want to make stock power until I can buy the neccesary equipment/tuning. I'm not sure how much hp per psi these things make, so any sort of close guess would be great. Thanks a lot! ~A-Rod

What is your wastegate spring pressure rating? You won't be able to boost lower than your wastegate spring pressure rating.

You can't go below 7 psi, maybe not even that low with the midpipe and non-seq. An EBC will do nothing for this, it's the natural actuator pressure. I would say you would be making more power than stock at 7-8 psi with those mods.

Great to know, thanks!

I guess I'll attempt to tune for 8. I'm pretty worried about the fuel in the bmm, the timing will be more than safe. I've heard under 6psi runs rich, and over runs lean? Last thing I need is a popped engine bc I didn't get a tune.

So you're keeping the stock main cat on? That's the only way you'll be able to keep boost to the levels you're talking about.

Figure ~15rwhp per psi.

*sigh* Well I guess I'll just have to drive it easy. I'm just terrified about the thought of that BMM being no good.
