At WOT your bov should only whoosh between shifts or if you let of the gas. If its whooshing while you are standing on the gas pedal thats a boost leak. I don't really know what you mean by the y-pipe "jumped". Make sure its on securely. If this is what you are talking about...My connectors on the y-pipe used to expand a ton when I reved...I replaced them.

When you say it jumped, do you mean it physically moved? if it did them it may mean that it must not be seated properly or somehow loose. If it were loose it would cause that wooshing sound...I didn't install my y-pipe but I did watch and all that had to be removed was the intakes and pipes. This is kinda weird though....never heard of a y-pipe jumping

What do you mean by JUMP??? it got disconnected?

which acordian style? between the y-pipe and the intercooler? or between the intercooler and the elbow?

which ever it is... make sure it is tight!!!

As far as I know, the early RX7s used an aluminum Y pipe and plastic cross over tube. The coupler between the Y pipe and cross tube always seems to be loose. The fix is to order the late (JDM '99 and up) Y pipe and cross tube which are both aluminum and bolted together. I did it and no more air leak.

It is notmal for the crossover tube to expand, and lift under acceleration. It does this because on the accordian pipes. It does NOT mean that you have a leak. You may want to upgrade to the efini y pipe. It wont expand, and will give better performance.
