Just as the title says, my break lights are staying on, even though the lights are in the [OFF] position. It's already drained my battery once. Any ideas on where to start? Thanks in advance.

 

bad brake light switch at the brake pedal?

 

go under there and check for a lil plastic that is suppose to block the brake light switch, is it missing? If you would press the switch, it will turn off, and if you let go it will turn on...

what i did was i took a 3M tape and put it where the little plastic was... easy fix if that is your problem

 

Thanks...hopefully it's something that simple, so I don't have to spend money that I don't have. It's raining now so I'll check later.

 

Thanks guys, it's fixed...now I just need a new battery.
