Question Best place to pull wires into cabin?

Where's the best place on the firewall to pull wires into the cabin for things like gauges, amps, & etc? Are there existing grommet-ed holes?

Preferably somewhere that's fairly accessible, i can put the car on a lift but the car is mostly stock so i don't have a whole lot of open space.

If you remove a couple of the fasteners that hold the front driver side wheel well liner in place it will expose a rubber grommet about maybe 1.5" in diameter that runs directly under the dash near the dead-pedal. I run all my gauge wires through this. You don't even need to take the wheel off to get access to it if you carefully bend the fender liner out of the way. I cut a length of coat hanger to fish the wires through because you have to push through pretty firmly to get the wires in.

I routed my wires through the left fender, behind the tire well plastic cover, and then through a grommet that leads to the driver's foot well.

From FD3S.net
Take off the driver's side front tire. Then carefully remove the screws and plastic mollys that are holding the black wheel well in place. If you work carefully you only have to remove those on the half closest to the driver. Now carefully pull this part of the black material away from the fire wall. Underneath you will find a black rubber cap. Pull it off and you have access through the firewall. The vacuum line should be brought off the manifold into the wheel well through a puncture hole you make in the rubber cap and then into the car entering to the side of the fuse box at the driver's feet. In order to replace the rubber cap you may have to first remove the nylon insert which is in the firewall. This is unusual in that it is removed by lifting up on a catch and then pulling on the two halves toward you almost as if you were braking the circumference. Hope this helps.

+3 for the drivers side wheel well. Just be carefull when poking the hanger through the gromet. You dont want to damage any wires/connectors inside the car.

You can get a lot of stuff through this grommet. Here is a picture from my battery relocation writeup:
