I'm getting a lot of noise from passenger side rear lately. It sounds like an amplified road noise. I also have vibration under braking... and the noise is A LOT louder under braking. I think it is a wheel bearing, but there was an incident where I drove on the highway for about 1/2 mile with parking brake on... yeah, I know that was pretty stupid. So I was wondering if that possibly could have caused the rear rotor(s) to warp. Can bad wheel bearing also cause vibration and a lot of noise under braking? Thanks in advance.

wheel bearings will make a growling noise. and a warped rotor will make a vibration that you can feel in you seat. to be sure of what the problem is take the wheel off and rotate the axle by hand and if you need to take the caliper off and the rotate it by hand then you will know if it is the caliper or the wheel bearing. for you sake pray that it is just a warped caliper.

Driving with the parking brake on the HIGHWAY for half a mile most definitely will warp a rotor.

You created a hot spot on your Rotor..it will be really noticeable when you Brake.,and you could have scored the Rotor if you Burnt the pad down past the Wear Indicator.That is my opinion.But,The ONLY way you are Going to Find out is to get Dirty and take a look...and a Warped Caliper?..that I would like to see.(I know ya made a Mistake!).I can See a Warped Rotor,but Not a warped caliper.Must be a Good Handbrake!

Damn... I guess it is the rotor then. I would get dirty and check it out myself but the weather has been horrible and I don't have a garage... I guess I'll have a shop check it out for me when I go in to get some other things done.
