auto to manual electrical question - starter motor
do i need to send a direct feed to the ignition barrel from the starter motor to get it start up or would i have to do nothing, ive just noticed that the starter wire goes into a big blue connector? this connector isnt plugged into anything and my car wont start??? please help.
What i have done is my had an engine fire and i changed the whole main body loom. I think this loom is an auto loom as where the ecu is it has another big blue connector, im guessing this is for an auto transmission module. the engine and sub harness is from a manual car its just the main body loom which is i think from an automatic. Any help and ideas???

The starter connects to the metal plate that bolts onto the + battery terminal. That is where it gets power from. There is another smaller wire (around 14 gauge) that goes from the front body harness ('F') to the starter. That is what turns it on/off.
