how do you know when you break it? i'm pretty sure i broke something the other night. i was thinking the slave cylinder went out again, but instead of losing pressure like normal, it kept building pressure and my clutch wouldn't disengage. i had it towed to my g/f's house and haven't gotten a chance to look at it

When I broke mine last year I felt a subtle vibration in the clutch pedal whenever engaging it, and then suddenly I would push it in, and it felt really odd, and I couldn't shift out of neutral. I had to start the car in 2nd, and drive slowly. Every stop light, stop the car, and restart it....killed my battery in short order.

Spoolin i knew when i broke it because a piece of it fell out the inspection hole while i was bleeding the slave. but before that happenned my pedal just felt slightly awkward when driving home(hard to engage when stopped). got home put my car on blocks...waited 2 weeks for a new FEED slave and stock master cylinder. put it all together and the clutch wouldnt disengage/engage... it liked to stay in nuetral. if i did manage to get it in gear..even though the pedal was depressed the wheels would start moving. i thought it was just air in the lines but when the part fell out i knew what was up.

apexkw, that's kinda what mine feels like. i was downshifting from 5th and when i got to 2nd, the pedal got really stiff and didn't wanna push down. i couldn't disengage the clutch so i got into a parking lot and pulled it outta 2nd without the clutch. my pedal is hard as a rock and won't go to the floor
also, where did you get your feed slave and what did it run ya?

i got the feed slave from jt-imports...it was like $260 bucks. a new master from malloy for like $81, and the stainless clutch line from k2rd for like $25. i think that the reason my clutch pedal was hard to depress was because the fork was warping and caused the bearing to move uneven on the shaft.
79CI13B thats about what mine looks like. broken across the bottom part of the fork where the dowel pin goes through it.

but then again, i also found out that a GENIUS left a throwout bearing floating around...and it got wedged in between the clutch fork, and I guess eventually w/ the pressure the clutch fork broke, and the bearing bent 90 degress...
