another ignition question

long story short, i had to re wire my entire car and i was trying to start it but it wasn't getting no spark. i ran a 12v ignition source with fuse straight to the ignitor's b/w wire and it started up...is there anything wrong with the way i did this?

i looked at the schematic and it looks like i did it the right way..... the b/w wire turns into the b/r wire that gives the coils power....correct?

wouldn't a capacitor inline only balance the voltage?
