Air pump install

OK, search turns up nothing. FSM is too damn complicated.

The split air tube goes from the UIM to the cat right? This provides air. Now the air pump itself pulls air from the intake and then what? On the FSm it shows a ton of valves and solenoids, but if the air is coming from the UIM then what is the need for the airpump?

I need to pass VA emissions but my FD is so ghetto rigged I have no idea where to start.

I really need help or im going to have to sell this car that I just dumped 4 grand into.

The air is directed into the ACV which is mounted onto the LIM. There is a tube which then comes off the LIM and runs down to the catalytic converter.

There are a few solenoids which connect and operate the ACV.

What specifically do you need to know?

well in order to pass I need air going to the cat. So I got a new airpump. Now Im guessing my acv was deleted along with all the solenoids.

Basically I need to hook up all the solenoids and the acv in order to get air going to my cat?

Install the air pump and rig a pipe direct from the air pump to the cat to pass the test.

Yup, works like a charm. ACV's tend to go bad after a while if the air pump is removed. Just bypass it and you'll get air to the cat direct from the pump.
