93 vs. 94 window glass
I parted out a 94 PEP FD last year and still have the DS door window left over. I noticed the other day that the door windows in my 93 R1 are clear, no tint. The 94 window has a blueish/greenish tint to it. Was this an option (per model, base, R1, Touring, etc) or a 94+ year change?
Has anyone else noticed this?
Thanks,
Jeff

93 and 94-95 have different part numbers. the parts catalog doesn't say, but you'd have to think the difference would be the tint.

I remember a while back a thread on the differences with some OEM glass, JDM glass, and aftermarket glass. I think the difference is a tint.
Of course, the tint is SO subtle it's not terribly useful. Here in Florida we put on real window tint .

I was told by a guy who owns a glass business (and has 35+ years of experience) that the glass that uses blue-green tint is known as "solar control" glass and was initially used to mitigate heat load in the cabin as part of the R134a ac system capacity remediation (and later to improve fuel economy in some cars through less ac use). I don't recall if it was mandated in the US, but all manufactures used it at some point. And the benefits (or regulations) apparently trump any styling concerns.
