'93 manual transmission sealant color?

I just bought a transmission for my FD and I'm wondering if it might have been rebuilt in the past. I figure one way to tell would be the color of the sealant that oozed out of the seams. It is grey. Is that correct for an untouched trans.?

I searched...Couldn't find anything.

Color? hahaha, thats a new one.

There is no way to tell if its been rebuilt without ripping it open.

If there is a large amount of sloppy looking sealant there is a good bet that it has been opened before but who knows about it being rebuilt
