3rd gen newbie please help have mercy on me!

I bought my 3rd gen with 88k on it runs good. it came with a boost guage, cat-back exhaust, and intake that i know of. I added the apexi FC controller and ecu to my car. I havnt changed anything they mapped it supposedly to what i told them i had for mods. I do have a downpipe i havnt installed yet. Ever since i installed it on the highway the boost reads 11-12psi on a fourth gear *** hual on the highway if i keep it going it lags then i let off and the boost wont go past 5psi. My latest problem i was drivin down the highway wot in fourth gear at about 6000 i heard a turbo( i assume) grind so my stupid self for some reason i put it in nuetruel and let the car idle instead of letting off the gas like I should of. Now my car wont idle properly anymore it wants to stall the only way to keep it running is now i turned the FC idle setting up to 1100 and it runs fine. The car still runs through and the boost is fine when i give it a short road test. Anyone have any ideas on this idle prob? and why my boost pressure wont stay normal on the long haul? Im a newbie and i want to get real involved int he rotary world big time!

1) check your map sensor hose. The map is labeled 'boost sensor' and is in the engine bay right in front of the driver. If that is ok,...

2) Take the car for a compression check. Hopefully you haven't blown your motor.
